Karen Dotson is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has 27 years experience in the nursing field which includes 12 years of Emergency Room and Urgent Care.
History.
In 1933 a young doctor out of Tulane University came to St. Cloud at the invitation of Dr. Rineman to start his practice. Dr. Robert Garland Wood accompanied by his bride Eunice Holzer Wood embarked on a 40 plus year journey of service to the St. Cloud community. At that time doctors did it all. Dr. Wood delivered many babies, performed general surgery, made house calls in the country, was a physician to Selective Service inductees and school sports in addition to seeing patients in his office. He was Vice President on the board of St. Cloud Hospital and Mrs. Wood was a charter member of the Hospital Auxiliary.
The family tradition in the medical field continues with Dr. Wood’s two granddaughters, Karen Dotson and Stacy Blackston. Karen has been in the medical profession for over 30 years. She first earned her RN degree in 1993.
In 2019 Karen achieved her Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Degree. This has allowed her the opportunity to open her own office to serve our community with a variety of services such as Covid testing, infusion therapy and general health care and exams. Karen and Stacy are proud to continue the family tradition of providing health care to the community.
